We are looking for a Staff Accountant to analyze program and financial information, maintain complete and accurate records, assist with routine accounting duties, and provide prompt, courteous responses to inquiries or issues from clients, vendors, and other business partners. Also provide efficient, reliable support to the finance/accounting team (both within IDEMIA NSS and IDEMIA North America), other departments, and external parties. We want a team player who exhibits a positive attitude, and effectively coordinates, collaborates, and communicates with NSS colleagues and partners. All employees of NSS must be US citizen's (not dual citizens of more than one country).

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to supplies and inventory.
  • Processes vendor invoices, obtains approvals, and completes related payments.
  • Uses and maintains documents and pertinent data to verify, record, and process transactions.
  • Assists the finance/accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including generating financial reports, reconciling bank accounts, and assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies.
  • Research & communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain required vendor set up documents, ensure charges are accurate, reflect competitive pricing, and that payments are received in a timely manner.
  • Completes sales tax filings and research discrepancies.
  • Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, recording entries.
  • Reviews, verifies, and processes expense reports to ensure consistency with the Company’s travel and expense policies and procedures.
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and current financial legislation.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint
  • Experience and knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures in support of the government contracting services industry.
  • Exceptional time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong math and research skills.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft programs, particularly Excel.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data.
